Original (OEM) parts in tailor-made returnable containers
For many years Renault has been the biggest foreign car manufacturer in Germany by far. To ensure continued success, an innovative and sophisticated service system is required. With its 1,500 sales and service support outlets, Renault possesses a nationwide extensive network of dealers. Every day, around 730 Renault dealers are supplied with original spare parts directly from the central spare parts warehouse in Brühl. This is also where the headquarters of Renault Nissan Germany AG are located.
For this purpose, SSI SCHAEFER developed a conical returnable container (KMB) especially for Renault. This container protects the original parts against dirt and unauthorised access. Thanks to the conical shape, the containers can be stacked inside each other when empty, thus saving 75% in space.
Additional benefits in comparison with disposable packaging are the reduction of costs with regard to storage of packaging materials stock while at the same time reducing the packaging waste. The one-off cost of returnable containers set against the high continual cost of packaging waste disposal, creates a very quick return on investment.
