For the world market leader in the packaging industry, SSI Schäfer has implemented a logisitcs concept clearly exceeding the classical requirements for big warehouses:

The optimization of existing production processes and expansion of existing manufacturing capacities.

Objective is to make processes more efficient, increase reaction times during peak periods, improve delivery quality (hygienic requirements for special manufacturing areas), and to simultaneously centralize overall logistics.

In addition to the construction of new manufacturing halls, all conveyor systems and warehousing operations had to be restructured and adapted to production requirements by SSI Schäfer. Result is the integration of different production areas into a comprehensive warehouse-automation concept.
