SSI Philippines Partners Caterpillar to Host Forklift Competition

Two market leaders in their respective industries will work together to hold a one of a kind competition in Philippines in search for the fastest forklift driver. Caterpillar, through its Philippines’ sole distributor Monark will jointly work with SSI SCHAEFER Philippines to hold the first Monark Rodeo Challenge at its facility in San Pedro Laguna on 21 May 2009.

SSI SCHAEFER Philippines will provide 4 bays of Selective Pallet Racking which the participants will use for the timed loading and unloading of palletized goods.  Whoever does it the fastest shall be declared winner at the end of the competition.

A total of 12 veteran forklift operators are expected to participate and will try to outwit each other in this highly anticipated event.  Winners will walk away with trophies and exciting prizes.

An estimated 150 operation executives from different manufacturing companies are expected to attend the event, which forms part of Monark’s product launch of the All New CAT EP Model Electric Series Forklift.
