PT Gudang Garam Sets The Record

PT Gudang Garam Tbk – one of the leading cigarette companies in Indonesia, recently commissioned SSI SCHAEFER to install double deep racking system for its new 7,500m² warehouse located at Gempol-Pasuran, East Java.

Valued at over US$850,000, the project contributed the biggest sale for SSI SCHAEFER Indonesia in year 2008. The installation process started in end 2008 and stretched over 6 weeks of non-stop progress through the holiday seasons, to complete 14,000 pallet locations by Jan 2009.

The new storage system optimizes warehouse space in the Work-In-Progress (WIP) store which stores billions of sticks of tobacco the company produces annually. PT Gugang Garam was impressed with SSI SCHAEFER’s prompt deliveries and timely installation of the new warehouse.
