2008: SSI SCHAEFER Launch New LS600 System

Innovation and improvement through continuous research and development has been the corporate ethos of SSI SCHAEFER for almost 70 years. The new Long-span 600 (LS600) system launched at the break of the New Year is the latest product to be launched in Asia by the Group.

Adapting strength and quality from the original WR600 system from Germany, SSI SCHAEFER’s R&D team in their Malaysian factory has specially designed the LS600 System to meet the needs of customers in the Asia Pacific and Middle East region.

Designed in accordance with the FEM 10.2.02, FEM 10.2.03 and FEM 10.2.04 standards, LS600 system is a versatile system, which allows customers to fully utilize all available headroom up to 9m+ in height. With allowable bay loads of 5,000kg, the system can be designed for high-rise order pick, multi tier shelving or to be built with an over sailing mezzanine floor.

Designed to suit hand loaded storage methods, LS600 system has a variety of open and stepped beams, which can be decked with a range of different shelves from plywood, wire mesh or steel decking panels. The system has a unique clip, which allows standard Regal 3000 shelves to be fitted directly to the frame. The system can also be installed with KDR Live Carton Storage system for manual -picking on First-in-First Out (FIFO) basis.

Warehousing and order picking systems are constantly challenged by the extensive variety of products presented and the limited storage space available. The LS600 system is designed to optimize storage options within minimum space, for all medium-duty warehouse applications from simple case storage to the handling of Specialist Automotive Parts.
