SSI Schaefer Completed the 1st Warehouse Expansion for Transitions Optical

The 3rd-tier expansion of R3000 shelving system for Transitions Optical was completed recently by SSI Schaefer Philippines. With over a week of installation, SSI Schaefer delivered a system which covers 360 bays and more than 2,000 shelf locations.

In 2007, when SSI Schaefer supplied Transitions Optical with the R3000 two-tier storage system, it was designed with the provision of possible expansion to a three-tier storage system in the future. There were more than a thousand of bays with approximately 10,000 shelving locations installed in the warehouse initially.

The recent expansion increased the capacity of existing warehouse to over 12,000 shelf locations. In compliance with FM Global requirements for fire safety protection, every 7th bay was designed with perforated shelves.
