Building a New Future

World-class electronics component distributor Future Electronics has recently entrusted SSI SCHAEFER Singapore with the fit-out of its new distribution centre situated at Loyang Industrial Estate on the eastern end of the island. The project created a business value of more than SGD 9 Million.

Since beginning of 2009, installation works have commenced for Future's new warehouse covering over 10,000 square meters in terms of floor area. More than 25,000 shelves and 540 pallet locations will be ready by middle of this year, coupled with high-performance order-picking, conveyer and order consolidation systems, as well as warehouse control and material flow software.

The new state-of-the-art distribution centre will replace Future Electronics' existing facility at Toh Guan Road, in order to cater for the company's expansions in the Asia Pacific region.
