SSI SCHÄFER has for many years been one of the leading companies in Europe, particularly with regard to environmentally friendly production processes. We are conscious of our responsibility and we strive for the highest levels of environmental compatibility in development, production and the disposal of our products.
Among other initiatives, we will be supported in our research into the preparation of mixed paints for large-scale production by the European Community as part of the LIFE project. The research project "Depigmentation of water-based paints" is just one instance of how consistently SSI SCHÄFER is implementing environmental awareness in production, for example.
In Neunkirchen we have developed a water-based surface coating for large-scale production. This has resulted in the creation of a paint which is of outstanding quality, and which is ecologically friendly and appealing, without fumes and without generating any special waste.
This significant contribution to environmental protection is our incentive to research other solutions and improvements.
